Nelene Gibbs is the Principal Broker and Owner of two locally owned, top-producing real estate brokerages — Nelene Gibbs Real Estate and Coast to Bay Realty — serving Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina, including the Outer Banks of NC.

A native of Hampton Roads and a second home resident of the Outer Banks, Nelene is also an owner and manager  of vacation rental properties on the Outer Banks.  

 Nelene spends her time between both states, brings unparalleled regional insight to every client relationship.

With over  15 years of past experience working in International Trade with the Ports of Virginia Nelene is well equipped to serve  International Clients relocating to the Hampton Roads and Outer Banks markets from all over the world.  

Nelene currently holds multiple  leadership positions in her local Outer Banks Realtor Association, including Chair of the Member Services Committee.  She serves on the Government Affairs, Property Management, Professional Standards, and Education Committees.

Nelene  has served on the Hampton Roads Realtors Board of Directors  as well as Chairman of the Owners/Managers Council, Government Affairs, Realtor Lawyer Councils and Professional Standards Council.  She served  in leadership at the Virginia State level for several years  on the Economic Advisory Council for Virginia Realtors .  

Janice has been a licensed and full time Real Estate Broker in North Carolina and Virginia for the past 30 years.  Relocating 18 years ago to Currituck from Winchester VA.  She and her husband are now living their dream in Currituck County’s 4-wheel drive area of Corolla, in Carova Beach. When she isn’t working, she is always looking out for her fellow Real Estate Brokers, as the 2026 President of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, board member for North Carolina Realtors or maybe she is donating her time at the Carova Beach Fire and Rescue Auxiliary.   Updating her education has always been a priority in her real estate career.  She has taken many classes keeping current with the real estate market and local market.  She holds several real estate designations,  Currently she is working at Brindley Beach Vacations in Corolla and focusing on the sale of properties in the 4-wheel drive area, Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and lower Currituck.  So whether you are buying your first home, a resale, an investment property or selling your property please allow Janice the opportunity to assist you by contacting her via call, text or email.
