The Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® (OBAR) recently awarded eight $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Ocracoke, Dare and Currituck counties, continuing a long-standing tradition of investing in the future of our local communities.

For the past 30 years, the OBAR scholarship program has helped deserving students pursue their educational goals. Since its inception, the Association has awarded scholarships to 200 students, providing a total of $303,631 in financial assistance.

2026 OBAR Scholarship Recipients include:

· Tyler Dayan – JP Knapp

· Reid Cerino – First Flight High School

· Myrezza Holton – Manteo High School

· Alaina Bonanni – Cape Hatteras Secondary School

· Charlotte Chappelle – First Flight High School

· Angela Flores – Ocracoke High School

· Samantha Schena – Cape Hatteras High School

· Addison Greene - First Flight High School

The recipients were selected by OBAR’s Scholarship Committee, chaired by Tiffany Moldovan of Beach Realty and Construction, after a thorough review and interview process.

"Every applicant told a unique story of determination, resilience, and promise," said Moldovan. "While the selection process was challenging, it was also incredibly inspiring. We are proud to support these outstanding students and excited to see all they will accomplish in the years ahead."
